Prajapati by MetLife – The First Digital Paperless Sales Tool for Insurance
Prajapati is a pioneering mobile/tablet application designed for the field force of MetLife Bangladesh, facilitating a paperless policy application process. Launched in early 2017, this digital sales tool is designed to streamline various aspects of insurance policy management and sales.
My Role: I worked as the backend developer for the entire project.

- Prospect Creation: Capability to create and manage potential customer profiles.
- Personal Need Analysis: Tool for assessing individual customer needs.
- Financial Need Analysis: Functionality to evaluate financial requirements for insurance.
- Products & Riders Selection: Allows selection of insurance products and additional riders.
- Premium Calculation: Automated calculation of premiums for selected products and riders.
- Benefit & Sales Declaration: Features to declare benefits and manage sales declarations.
- Policy Application Form Automation: Streamlines the policy application process through automation.
- Local PDF Creation: Generates PDFs locally on the device.
- Email Option: Allows sending of application forms and related documents via email.
- Digital Signature: Incorporates digital signing of documents.
- BA Authorisation: Facilitates Business Associate (BA) authorization within the application.
Technology Stack:
- Java Spring: Used for server-side development and business logic implementation.
- IBM MobileFirst Platform: Utilized for integrating mobile applications with enterprise systems.
- Android: Platform for the mobile application, enabling its deployment on Samsung Tabs used by the field force.
